THE MUSIC
"The soundtrack to Bleak Faith: Forsaken is a promising work of majesty... Martel's electronic sense for symphony boldly manifests where nuance, drama and power converge. Truly unforgettable work." - C.G.D.
"I strive for a boutique and analog sounding spectrum, relying on anything from minimalism to full on sonic assaults to achieve what I love. Mixing old elements with new ones is kind of an obsession, but in the end, it all really comes down to just get the right feeling and to create something atmospheric, memorable and out of the ordinary." - Martel
Martel is an ex-architect who after growing up between Montenegro and Cyprus spent a good run living and working in London, Berlin and Rome. Shifting careers from the design office to the film set and the game studio along with the music stage, he transformed his career path over the years into writing, acting, music and game design. His neo-renaissance approach to the arts is one of honing multiple skills while pursuing a high level of craftsmanship in many creative fields.
His most recent professional milestone is writing, co-designing and composing for the commercially successful videogame, "Bleak Faith: Forsaken" (Archangel Studios) and working on festival released films and others which are in production as part of the Evil Ideas studio in Montenegro. He is currently on the road between multiple locations and is now busy working on the development phase of the feature film, "Transfer" - along with the sequel for "Bleak Faith" and also, his own original music.
He swears by films such as the unforgettable "Disco Boy" by G. Abbruzese and "Hwanghae" by Na-Hong Jin, but his heart is at "Portrait De La Jeune Fille en Feu" by C. Sciamma. His favorite music spans from the likes of Rammstein, Laibach, Möd3rn and Vril all the way to Muslimgauze, Flowdan, The Bug and countless others. Favorite books include "Babylon" by V. Pelevin and anything by Émile Zola or Kafka; his favorite games of all time include "Paratopic", but also the "Bioshock" series and anything "Hitman" related.
